this is one of the weirdest things I've seen in awhile

It is history. It ought to be remembered and preserved. Earlier tonight I was talking with a friend and his daughter who never heard of the amazing Exploding Whale. So, I decided to post it here.It happened back in 1970 when officials decided that the best way to get rid of a dead whale on the beach was to blow-it-up.
